What is
NationScan?
The NationScan criminal index is a database search of over 100 million
records from 41 states of which a majority of the information is updated on
a monthly basis. The intended purpose of this product is not a
replacement for our standard "feet on the street" county or statewide
searches. The purpose of this is to create additional reach and
depth to a client's criminal search geography, which is important, based on
the mobile nature of convicted criminals. IMPORTANT: This search
is not available to order
for applicants residing or working in California.

Details
The NationScan criminal index is currently available through Web and Fax.
This search has a 30-minute turn around time using
ScreenApp™ Direct Web Access Tool. More time is
required using FAX. A copy of any search returned with
a "hit" report
with a hit will be sent to the applicant as well as the client.
Facts required from clients in order to obtain the NationScan report
are :

Race and sex are optional but helpful.
The data presented for the NationScan criminal index will not be completely
current; the database is generally updated every 30 days from the States.
The States information may already be 15 days old when the data is added to
the main database. Since no search guarantees that it will find every
criminal record, we suggest that you obtain the NationScan criminal index as a
supplement to an In-Person Search. This report provides information from
State and county databases that could be missing information the courthouses
have not supplied or updated. This search will give a better
idea of where County Criminal searches can be obtained.
